SERVES: 4 PREP TIME: 5 minutes + marinating COOK TIME: 10 minutes

Quick and versatile

Make these salmon bites in the air fryer in less than 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Atlantic salmon, skin removed

  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon tapioca flour or corn starch

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 2 teaspoons paprika

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1 1 /2 teaspoons onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • cayenne pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salmon by patting dry and cutting into 1-inch cubes.

  2. Make the seasoning rub by combining all ingredients.

  3. Roll the salmon bites in the seasoning until they are evenly covered. For the best flavor, let the seasoned salmon marinate for 30-60 minutes in the refrigerator.

  4. Place a single layer of salmon bites in the air fryer with a little space around each one. Cook at 400F for about 6 minutes or until the fish flakes easily. Do not turn over. Air fryers vary so adjust the time and temperature as necessary.

  5. Work in batches to finish the rest of the salmon bites.

Tips: Fresh salmon works best but frozen salmon that has been thawed in the refrigerator works, too.

Easy prep: Purchase a prepared seasoning containing sugar and spices like garlic, onion, chili and paprika.

Oven method: Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place seasoned salmon in an even layer with space in between pieces. Bake at 425F for about 10 minutes. Salmon can also be broiled on high for 7-8 minutes.
